Technical data and areas of application

Grade 1 | W.-Nr. 3.7025
Unalloyed titanium offering optimum ductility and cold formability. The material has high impact toughness and is readily welded. The material is castable and is sometimes used for small castings in dental applications. Typical applications include for corrosion resistance in the chemical and marine industries, in air frame constructions where ease of formability is important.

Grade 2 | W.-Nr. 3.7035
Commercially pure unalloyed titanium offering an excellent balance of strength and ductility. It has good impact toughness and is readily weldable. It has good corrosion resistance in highly oxidising environments and in mildly reducing environments. As it is castable it is often used for cast valves and fittings.

Grade 3 | W.-Nr. 3.7055
High strength-to-weight ratio combined with excellent corrosion resistance in highly oxidising to mildly reducing environments. It has good impact properties down to low temperatures. Grade 3 is highly fabricable, readily welded and can also be cast.

Grade 4 | W.-Nr. 3.7065
Grade 4 has the highest allowable oxygen and iron contents and highest strength of the CP grades with a minimum yield strength of 480 MPa. It has excellent corrosion resistance.

KS 1.2ASN
Based on commercially pure titanium with stabilising additions of aluminium, silicon and niobium the alloy retains good formability with high temperature oxidation resistance up to 700-800°C and excellent fatigue properties making it ideal for exhaust manufacture.
