S+D METALS Sustainability Management

S+D METALS is trying step by step to make its value chain more sustainable and to contribute to climate protection through sustainability projects. S+D METALS has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 - Environmental Protection Management - since the beginning of 2016.
To achieve this, we have for example implemented the following measures:

100% green electricity in Stelle
Since January 2018, we have been using only eco-electricity in Stelle from a supplier that also protects the Rostocker Heide in Germany. S+D METALS has already been able to save over 33.2 tonnes of climate-damaging carbon dioxide in this way.

Service centre and warehouse in Stelle
In the S+D METAL warehouse in Stelle, all forklifts are operated climate-neutrally with Progas liquid gas. There is also an e-pump at the warehouse for electric cars.

E-mobility in the fleet
S+D METALS is constantly increasing the number of hybrid cars in its corporate fleet. Moreover, our partner car dealership plants a tree for every car in the S+D METALS fleet under the claim "a tree for a car".

Job bike for employees
Since S+D METALS not only attaches great importance to climate protection but also to the health of its employees, every employee has the opportunity to receive a company bicycle. In this way, the commute to work can be made climate-friendly and supportive to health.

Sustainable office supplies
S+D METALS also pays attention to sustainability when it comes to details and only purchases its office supplies from environmentally certified suppliers. Importance is also attached to the issue of locality in order to avoid unnecessary transport journeys.

Sustainable shipping
In order to make the delivery of our material more climate-friendly, we bundle deliveries strategically.

Sponsorship for a Bee Colony in Düsseldorf
