S+D METALS cooperation: Tovab's new innovative micro waterjet cutting system convinces

New waterjet cutting machine using micro-machining tools

TOVAB has invested in a new innovative micro waterjet cutting machine which convinces with the highest precision for particularly detailed cuts. Dimensions of 950x910 mm area or smaller can be cut with a first-class tolerances as low as ± 0.01 millimetres, compared to ± 0.2 millimetres offered by conventional water jet cutting

High-quality micro cuts play a decisive role especially in medical technology, watch components and jewellery as well as aviation and can now be offered by S+D METALS as waterjet cuts.

Waterjet cutting offers many advantages

The advantages of waterjet cutting are time efficiency, cost effectiveness, eco-friendliness and quality assurance due tot he avoidance of tension and chemical damage.

Micro waterjet cutting offers the same precision as a laser with the advantage of cold processing, making it particularly suitable for heat-sensitive materials. In addition, waterjet cutting is also cheaper than laser cutting.

TOVAB's machine park

In addition to the new micro waterjet cutting tools, Tovab's machine park consists of other waterjet machines which can gently cut sheets and plates of titanium and steel up to 200 mm thick. They can carry out waterjet cutting with 6,000 bar and in large sizes up to 9x3 meters
