COVID-19: S+D METALS takes measures

The corona virus SARS-CoV-2 s affects us all - locally and globally. Therefore, S+D METALS together with BIBUS HOLDING has taken measures to minimize risks in these exceptional times, while remaining capable of action. We therefore want to respond to the personal situation of our employees in the best possible way.

The focus of every decision is of course on the health and safety of all colleagues and business partners. Based on the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute, the following infection prevention measures were taken:

Home Office

As a family-run company, special attention is paid to employees with children. In order to ensure childcare during school and daycare absences, flexible work from the home office is made possible. All other colleagues are also given this opportunity in order to minimise the potential risk of infection on the way to work and in the offices.

Service Center in Stelle

Of course, in addition to our commercial colleagues, our service centre in Stelle is also involved in the measures. When packing and delivering our materials, our warehouse colleagues also follow the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and the public health department. This is the only way to maintain an appropriate standard of hygiene. Furthermore, the colleagues in the service centre rotate in two teams in order to minimise a possible infection and to remain capable of acting and delivering for our customers.

Business trips are not taken

Two weeks earlier we already stopped or postponed all business trips. Nevertheless, many meetings are still held via video conferences - whether with customers and / or suppliers or within the group. We seek to be close to our customers and suppliers without taking the risk of direct contact.

Rules of behavior

S+D METALS follows the recommendations of the health authorities and passes this information to its employees accordingly. All employees have been informed about rules of behavior to avoid infection with the corona virus. Furthermore, additional hygiene measures have been taken. Fortunately, there are currently no infected persons in our company.

CONCLUSION:

With all the measures we have taken, we are doing everything we can to plan ahead and act responsibly. We will continue to be available for you and will do our best to contribute to the containment of COVID-19.

Our goal is still to supply our customers on time. However, there will always be some factors and political decisions that we cannot influence. Therefore we already ask for your understanding.
